Investigation of Cable Failures at Wind Farms

Описание к видео Investigation of Cable Failures at Wind Farms

Tom Sandri presents a case study investigation of cable failures at wind farms. Wind farm collector circuits in the United States comprise mostly of medium voltage cables. They are typically 35 kV rated, XLPE insulated with stranded aluminum conductors, direct-buried in the ground. Many of these cable systems have exhibited in-service problems and failures which have adversely affected wind farm operating costs and reliability. This webinar will describe the investigation of such failures at wind farms and provide a summary of the root cause analysis findings.
