Pumping windmill converted to turn a drive shaft.

14 foot windmill was set in place on 30 foot farm shop built used power pole and lumber tower 5/2/23.

Guessing 4hp in 16 mph wind. 1 inch drive shaft extending to tower base turns 8.6 times to each turban revolution.
Turban spins 60 rpm in 16 mph wind. So drive shaft spins 516 rpm to v-belt or flat belt drive any small equipment.
From maytag washing machine grain mill, buzz saw to small threshing machine which requires a rock steady evening type wind.

Mill was rescued from a dump before it got crushed in with the garbage. Everything was damaged and tail was missing but all fixable using farm shop type tools and 6 months of off and on tinkering and repairing.
All sprockets, bearings, right angle gearboxs and shafts salvaged from old farm equipment.

Fun to use and as a yard art also it adds much, much drama to our sunsets. Neighbors love it.
