Dr. Kristen R. Bromley is a Jazz Guitar Artist and Expert. This course covers jazz guitar in exceptional detail and is designed for those new to jazz or those who have been playing for awhile. In this Lesson, which is Lesson 19 in the series, Dr. Bromley builds on what was taught in the previous lessons pertaining to improvisation by introducing how to include the five to six to flat-seven movement, or visa versa, when soloing over dominant 7 chords. This also includes just using the flat-seven to six movement, or visa versa. In addition to the explanations, Dr. Bromley demonstrates how to improvise over all 12 tonal options of the dominant 7 chord type, progressing through the circle of 4ths with a backing track which provides 8 bars for each chord. The backing track used in the lesson is available on the channel. See the above links for help finding the backing track videos.
