Your Programming "Hobby" WON'T Cut It

When it comes to software development, are you a hobbyist or a professional? What does this even mean, what is the difference between doing software development as a hobby or a job? Neither of these things is wrong, but understanding which one you are doing matters, working at your hobby as though it is a job is probably a mistake, and working at your job as though it is a hobby is an even bigger mistake.
