Описание к видео Hunting for Moose in Northwestern Ontario (circa 2021) | Canada | Wilderness | Boreal Forest

We go hunting for moose in northwestern Ontario and enjoy the flora, fauna and scenery in the boreal forest. Peter sets up a modern camp, with tent and wood stove, he made from a machinist's tool box. They arrive at this remote location with provisions to be self sufficient for three weeks. Peter uses a traditional birch bark moose call. Before leaving the north, Peter digs out some black spruce and some tamarack trees to transplant to the 1700's homestead. He discusses the value of black spruce roots for stitching birch bark canoes, the value of gather tinder for fire starting and the practice by indigenous peoples of storing coal embers to transport as a fire starter.
