It's plant care day, grab a coffee and let's potter around the houseplants. Today I am caring for my Begonia Maculata, Calathea and Bird of Paradise. Changing a few water propagations after they went green🧪moving on...let's turn on a few plant grow lights and bottom water my smaller plants.

When my plants are dormant, I like to clean their leaves, turn on the grow lights, move them towards the sunlight, and catch up on a few other plant chores.

Winter is not the time to propagate or repot, it is the time to slow down and enjoy, look to Marvin the senior snoring schnauzer for inspo!

Also known as Polka Dot Begonia, Spotted Begonia, Angel Wing Begonia, Trout Begonia, or Clown Begonia.
I inadvertently practice "Luften" a German verb that refers to the practice of opening windows to allow fresh air to circulate and remove stale, damp air from a room, helping to prevent mold and improve air quality.
This practice is a common and important aspect of daily life in Germany, and of my home in Melbourne!
This vibrant colour will fade in insufficient lighting.
My Begonia sits in a window getting direct morning sunlight along side my String of Pearls and String of Hearts!
