Swiss Army Taz 57/75 Alpenflage Uniform

Hi guys today we're looking at one my favorite camouflage patterns on one of the most interesting uniform designs out there. This Swiss Army Taz 57/75 uniform was used by the Swiss Army from approximately 1960-1993. It is quite unique due to the red dominant pattern and is visually striking. Unlike many other countries at the time which adopted load bearing systems, typically consisting of a belt and suspenders with gear attached, the Swiss opted to build in the gear carrying capability by outfitting the uniform with an extensive amount of pockets. Everything was designed to be carried on the uniform itself, with the exception of a removal backpack on the rear. I really enjoy learning about Swiss military gear, because everything is so specialized, due to the geography of Switzerland.
