Скачать или смотреть ASC T-128 Siren Test - Alert - Rosemount, MN 9/4/24

I was on my way to visit family this past weekend when I noticed that the T-128 in Rosemount off of Highway 55, which hasn't rotated in three years, was replaced with a Whelen Vortex. After hearing that another T-128 in town was recently replaced as well, I figured I'd record one of the remaining ones in case it gets replaced as well.

This T-128 is located at Old City Hall Park off of County Road 42, and directly replaced a Thunderbolt around 2011-ish. I thought about setting up in the parking lot of Dakota County Technical College across the road for a more distant shot, but with the high winds I figured it would be easier to just record up close. The county was slightly late with testing today, as it wasn't until about 1:02 when this siren went off. It was decently loud, not quite as loud as the one I filmed back in February, but much louder than the one in Shoreview.

Dakota County, like most of Minnesota, tests their sirens on the first Wednesday of each month at 1PM.
