Hornady L-N-L 3D Printed Case Feeder Success!

So maybe the failure of the first go round with this 3D printed mechanical case feeder for the Hornady LnL press was a good thing. Designer reached out to me after seeing what happened with parts that weren't operating smoothly as well as the stress crack I ended up with.

He sent out two replacement parts and those did the trick! Sanding on one was just perfect. Smooth to the touch. No rough grooves to get hung up on.

The biggest surprise was a design enhancement that added a large brace to the back that added a TON of rigidity to the two pieces. Before, they felt a bit fragile and without the boot/stabilizer installed, there would have been no way for this to work. Now, with the new brace, there is no need (IMO) for the boot/stabilizer piece. Besides, mounting that piece to the bench would have been a lot of work (wood, nuts/bolts, c-clamps, etc.).

As you can see, this now operates pretty flawlessly, what I was originally hoping for. Love the new/enhanced design. Takes what what originally a great idea and makes it bulletproof.
