2016 Ogawa-Yamanaka Stem Cell Prize Awarded to Douglas Melton

Douglas Melton, PhD, co-director of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, was awarded the prize for his work to treat diabetes with insulin-producing pancreatic cells created from stem cells.

The Ogawa-Yamanaka Stem Cell Prize celebrates scientists whose original translational research has advanced cellular reprogramming technology for regenerative medicine.
