Join me as I discuss with Sean "Smitty" Smith trauma-informed services for human trafficking survivors—crisis support, safe housing, counseling, legal aid, and long-term recovery resources. If you or someone you know needs help, this video highlights how to access support and how communities can respond with care and dignity.

Sean “Smitty” Smith is a Labor Trafficking Advocate with Innovations Human Trafficking Collaborative in Lacey, WA. He is certified through the National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP) and is also Trauma Informed Care trained. Smitty has many years of experience working with victims of sexual harassment, domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and Military Sexual Trauma (MST). He is also trained in Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention and audited the Sexual Assault Investigations Course (SAIC) at the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission.

Smitty is Cherokee Nation and is passionate about his work and his volunteer service. He has served in the community as a volunteer with the Demographic Community Advisory Councils (Seattle PD) and on the Board of Directors for Centro Integral Education for Latinos in Olympia (CIELO).
Smitty is also a member of the King County CSEC Task Force and a former Board Member for Rebuilding Hope (Tacoma, WA). He is an Army Veteran, has volunteered in the Incarcerated Veterans Program at the Washington Correctional Center for Women (WCCW) and is a former Chair of the Veteran's Advisory Board for Thurston County (instrumental in establishing the Lacey Veterans Services Hub in Lacey, WA). Additionally, Smitty is a former Trusted Partner (Military) with both FBI Seattle and Portland Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) and LEOFF Commissioner for the City of Lacey, WA.
