Sky Princess Norwegian Fjords...Haugesund

Our first port of call on our cruise to the Norwegian Fjords was Haugesund.
We had heard that there was not an awful lot to do in the actual town and you may have to take an excursion if you wanted to see more.
We decided we would take our chances and walk around the town and then on to the National Monument.
As we disembarked the ship there was plenty of tour operators offering trips and excursions. Also a hop on hop off bus and a small Noddy train that took you around the town .
We followed the crowds over the bridge and into Haugesund, after a time we visited Our saviours church and then on to a view point .
We arrived at the National monument and spent some time there before heading back , this time we took the coastal path.
We also visited the statue of Marilyn Monroe along the harbour front before returning to the ship.
If we ever returned to Haugesund I think we would book an excursion and go further afield .
