On Tuesday the 23rd June 2020 I visited the Nenagh Branch line to witness the HOBS Train travelling across the line. Irish Rail's 071 class locomotives numbers 085 and 084 were assigned to the duty and worked the HOBS Train from Lisduff - Moanfin (Nenagh) and back.

This was my first proper chase along this line and it was great to hear the sound of jointed track again, just a pity the line is slowly being relayed.

0:00 - 0:37, Here we see 085 and 084 passing Castlefleming (Stubber), Co. Laois with a Lisduff - Moanfin Top & Tailed HOBS Train

0:37 - 1:34, Next we see 084 and 085 this time passing through Roscrea Station while on route to Moanfin (Nenagh).

1:34 - 1:59, Next we just about make it to Kylenaheskeragh, Co. Tipperary where we see 085 and 084 passing with the HOBS Train.

1:59 - 4:37, Next we see 85 and 084 arriving into the worksite at Moanfin just outside Nenagh town with the HOBS Train. Here they got to work dropping ballast on the freshly laid track.

4:37 - 5:17, Having completed it's work at Moanfin we see 085 and 084 passing Ballygibbon, Co. Tipperary with a Moanfin (Nenagh) - Lisduff empty HOBS Train.

5:17 - 5:54, Next we see 085 and 084 passing Kylenaheskeragh, Co. Tipperary with their train as they head towards Ballybrophy.

5:54 - 6:43, Next we see 085 and 084 passing Grange Beg, Co. Laois as they approach Ballybrophy.

6:43 - 7:35, And finally we see 084 and 085 departing Ballybrophy as they make their way back to Lisduff with the empty HOBS Train.
