Matriarch | Chord Memory Tricks

Описание к видео Matriarch | Chord Memory Tricks

This video explores different approaches to using Matriarch to achieve a classic synthesizer function: chord memory.

Chord memory is a feature commonly found on polyphonic synthesizers. It allows users to play a chord on the keyboard, store that chord shape into the instrument’s memory, and then be able to play the full chord back by just playing the lowest key in the chord. It will also make the keyboard function in a way that is similar to a monophonic synthesizer, except that any single note played will generate the same chord shape transposed to the key being pressed. While Matriarch doesn’t have an obvious chord memory function, there are a few ways to emulate chord memory, and because of the flexibility of Matriarch’s oscillator section, users can go beyond what a traditional polyphonic synthesizer can do while using chord memory.
