Mass Effect Andromeda - Turian Ark: Lost But Not Forgotten (All Options)

After visiting Kadara during “Hunting the Archon,” check your email on the Tempest for a message from Avitus Rix. Avitus states he’s hearing rumors that scavengers found pieces of an ark on Elaaden.

Follow the navpoint to a crash site in the zone known as the Sea of Ataraxia, and on approach you spot a squad of Raiders. Pull up and defeat the Raiders, then investigate the scene.

Scan the many cryogenic stasis pods scattered around the scene. SAM detects no lifeforms. Scan them until a navpoint appears near a stasis pod you’ve already scanned that you can now open.

The scan results on the powered stasis pod say the occupant’s name is Cnaeta Libutes. Open the pod. You discover it’s empty. SAM deduces the pod was ejected long after the Natanus was reported missing. This means the ark may not be destroyed and their might be survivors.

Avitus Rix believes that Macen Barro, the turian Pathfinder, is still alive. He thinks he’s received an S.O.S. from Macen. You encourage him by telling him you found evidence that the ark may be intact—the stasis pods were jettisoned from the Natanus after the ark hit the Scourge. He sends you navpoints to meet him so you can find answers together.

Follow the navpoint to the Remav system. Find the Ark Natanus in the top-left quadrant of the solar system screen. Travel to the ark. Search for the docking bay, then confirm to disembark the Tempest. Choose your gear and your crew.

As soon as you board the ark, you’re greeted by Avitus Rix. He says life support’s busted and he’s surprised there’s any gravity at all.

Climb the stairs to the locked door, and scan the walls behind it and to your left to find a yellow conduit. Follow it back to the floor and to the Ark Natanus console. This opens the door that allows access to the atrium.

Head through the newly opened door, and in the next left corner near a closed door, you can find an Ark Natanus console. Use it to unlock the next door.

Avitus Rix comes up behind you and asks if you think your SAM can help you fix the console. You tell him you’ve found a log from Dea Praeton, the ark’s captain. The video is corrupt, but you can recover the audio. He asks you to play it. You oblige. You hear the voice of Dea Praeton saying, “Something is tearing the Natanus apart.” Dea and Macen are trying to get anyone awake to the escape pods. At the end, it sounds like Dea bailed on the plan. It’s possible he and Macen found each other and made it to the escape pods as well. To play more of the corrupt footage, you need to find the SAM Node.

Push through the next door and enter the stairwell on the left. Open the door and scan the debris behind it. Scan the wall to the right of the door. Follow the yellow conduit down the railing and to the console in the previous room. Activate the control to open the right door .

You’re familiar with the layout because it’s the same as on the Hyperion. Head to the SAM Node hallway to find the door locked. Use the console to the left of it to get power back to the door. Avitus talks to you again. He’s worried. Macen is more than just a Pathfinder to him.

Open the door to the SAM Node’s hallway. The door to the SAM Node is locked too. Use the console in the back-right corner of the hallway to unlock this door, then enter the SAM Node. Your SAM fixes the damage so the broken SAM can speak. Avitus Rix begs the SAM Node to tell him where Macen is. Macen’s SAM says Macen sent coordinates, then flew the ark there. The Pathfinder ordered his SAM to help Avitus find the turians a home. SAM plays an audio log from Macen Barro, telling his SAM to go on without him. Transmission ends when he dies, which is what corrupted his SAM’s data.

Finally, you can convince Avitus that he would make a great Pathfinder in Macen’s place, in which case he humbly accepts. Or you can choose to be a party-pooper and not allow him to be the Pathfinder. Then you tell Suvi on comms the Pathfinder is dead.
