Nissan Ariya Concept with acoustic meta-material for outstanding noise insulation

Nissan has invented acoustic meta-material, a new, lightweight sound insulation material that significantly reduces road noise for quiet, comfortable driving.

The material only weighs one-fourth of current noise insulation materials, such as rubber boards, yet provides the same reduction in road noise.
By reducing vehicle weight, the material can help improve driving performance and fuel efficiency.

The Nissan Ariya Concept is at the Nissan booth at CES 2020, visitors can see and experience the new acoustic meta-material at Nissan’s display (6306) in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. This year’s show runs from Jan. 7-10.
