Online Golden Oldies Tutorials

The Illawarra Country Bootscooters have had an influx of new dancers who are eager to learn more for upcoming socials and events. There have been comments made about wanting to learn more of the ‘classics’. We can’t always be teaching and revising new dances due to the ever-increasing release of new dances weekly. Prior to lockdown, we suggested the idea of hosting workshops before our upcoming events and we received a very supportive response. Because we are unable to host these workshops due to current restrictions in place, this is the next best option.
I hope these videos occupy you during Lockdown, and beyond, and that you will be able to join others on the dancefloor for more Golden Oldies at future dance events.

Cost
We considered opening a private Facebook group however; we realised that not everyone has access to private Facebook groups (without an account) whereas YouTube is accessible to all (without an account).

We could publish the videos with an unlisted link (unlisted means that videos and playlists can be seen and shared by anyone with the link) however; if you are using a smart tv, it is sometimes difficult to find the unlisted links in contrast to public YouTube video link.

Final decision: Honesty System.
The videos will be on Maddison’s YouTube in a playlist named ‘Golden Oldies Tutorials’.
