Badass Jews: Ferede Aklum - Mossad Agent/Activist (Vol 10)

Ferede Aklum was born on May 15th, 1949, in the Tigre region of Ethiopia and was a member of Beta Israel or the Ethiopian Jewish community. In 1977 he worked with the legendary Yona Bogale to help 120 Jews escape Ethiopia for aliyah. For his own safety, he relocated to Sudan where he was recruited by Mossad and works with Agent Danny Limor to rescue hundreds more Jews. In September 1980 his cover was blown, and he was snuck out of the country. Farede lived out his days in Israel never giving up the fight for the Jews of Ethiopia
