This session demonstrates how to use SQL 2016 Extended Events to monitor and evaluate query performance of SSAS multidimensional cubes and tabular models. We’ll import data into SQL Server 2016 and while gaining an understanding of query duration and execution counts, use T-SQL to understand the storage and query engine. An SSIS package will be demonstrated that use of Extended Event data to warm the multidimensional cube cache after partition processing.
