Come with me to a magical, secret woodland - where bluebells carpet the ground, the scent of wild garlic fills the air, a cascading river slows to a gentle stream, and all around us, beautiful birdsong.

May is a special month, as the woodland finally shakes off the winter slumber and bursts into life. The fresh greens are so intense, there are white flowers everywhere - most notably garlic in huge swathes and hawthorn trees absolutely laden with their flowers. There are also large sections of the iconic bluebell, one of the wonders of the natural world in the UK.

And hardly another soul in sight, just us and the birds and the trees and the flowers. A truly special and magical place.
