SOLD - The Rover P5 was the flagship large car offered by Rover between 1958 and 1973. Available initially in a 4 door saloon, the 4 door Coupe, with 6cm lower roof line, was introduced in 1962. Originally powered by a 3.0ltr in line 6 cylinder engine until the 3.5ltr V8 was introduced in late 1967 for the P5B.

Our car, one of the final Mk3 3ltr models with the most desirable Coupe bodies is also one of the rarest, described at the time as being even more luxuriously trimmed and furnished than the previous model, the car had just a 2 year production run of just 2,501 cars built.

With just 50,892 miles recorded, this car presents itself beautifully in its deep Admiralty Blue paintwork with contrasting all original tan leather interior which is in superb condition showing lovely patina for a low mileage car. The chrome and glass is also in great condition.

We were delighted to take the car in part exchange against one of our high quality classics from a Rover enthusiast. He has cared for the car for 18 years and covered just 13,000 miles under his ownership. There are only 4 previous keepers all of which their details are in the history file which has almost all MOT certificates going back to 1986 when the mileage was 33,709.

On the road this 50 year old car behaves very well. With power steering, disc brakes and automatic transmission it's easy to mingle with modern traffic both in town and on the motorway, we drove the car 120 miles home with no drama, only admiring glances and thumbs up from other road users!

Also with the car is a large file of repair invoices, the original handbook pack in the clear plastic wallet, the original tool kit in the under dash tray, the spare keys, a bound workshop manual, old tax discs, some spares and accessories and numerous plaques and trophies from car shows.
