📖 THE STORY
The world of Kaltos is a graveyard. Khorne’s berserkers are winning, and even the Iron Hands are failing to hold the line. When the Slayer falls from the sky, he doesn't bring salvation through prayer; he brings it through the total harvest of the enemy. He meets the Custodes, the Ten Thousand, who realize that this "anomaly" is a threat to the Imperial Truth—and the only thing tough enough to stabilize the planet.
As the Black Legion attempts to anchor the Great Rift to Kaltos, the Slayer and the Custodes form an uneasy alliance. The Slayer’s "Null-Effect" begins to stabilize reality, but it also burns out the minds of local psykers, drawing the lethal attention of the Inquisition.
