The Illustrated Good Omens

I give a brief, but rambling overview of Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, and a look inside this beautiful edition illustrated by Paul Kidby.

Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch is a 1990 novel written as a collaboration between the English authors Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

The book is a comedy birth of the son of Satan and the coming of the End Times and the attempts by an angel and a demon to sabotage the coming of the end times.

In 2014 it was adapted for radio broadcast on BBC 4. Staring Mark Heap and Peter Serafinowicz. Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett had cameo roles as a pair of traffic cops called "Neil" and "Terry". The series was broadcast in six episodes starting in December 2014.

In 2019 it was adapted as a six-episode streaming TV series as a coproduction between Amazon Studios and BBC Studios staring Michael Sheen and David Tenant. The second season is due to premier this year, 2023.
