I'm a fan of Kruder & Dorfmeister.
We met in 1995 when I was asked to pick them up at the airport and show them around Seattle. They had just become very hot in a particular segment of Music lovers that were emerging worldwide. A mix of Club, Hotel, Travel, Design focused people who found that they liked the same vibe.
It was an interesting time. The Internet was just coming up, DJ Culture became a thing..Magazines were a thing. I played them often on my radio show Wo'Pop on KCMU..now KEXP and at clubs, the reaction was always very positive.

K&D released its first record with the single "High Noon" which became a staple of cool groovy clubs. The track stood out in the mix and when you danced to it it felt great. a nice mix of jazzy and dubby funk that refreshed the dancefloor, a reset. The K&D Sessions followed and the K7 DJ Mix which cemented their place on the DJ Tour.

The New Record "1995" is all the work they did to create a follow-up to the first record and finally, after 25 years it's out. It's been on repeat for me since I got the copy.
Hope you like the interview.
