McCoy 35 Stunt Engine - 1950's

Simple pleasures bring happiness. :-)

This old McCoy 35 engine, for all I know, has not been run since the 1950's. I tore it apart, cleaned it up, and polished it.

It has a glow plug that I think may be the original that came with the engine. It still works and that is what I used when running the engine today. I put a vintage Y & O propeller on it and ran it on FAI fuel with some extra castor oil added.

She started pretty easily actually, and I ran it rich and four-cycling because I did not want to stress the old engine. It seems to me, from the color of the used oil, that this engine was never fully broken in!

Turn your speakers up, and let your mind drift back to that elementary school playground in the 1950's where many of these engines came to life for the first time.
