What is a cuboid?
A cuboid is a 3 dimensional shape with 6 flat rectangular faces and all the angles in a cuboid are right angles.
This is an example of a cuboid.

Opposite faces of a cuboid are parallel and equal.

A common example of objects that are cuboid in shape are books.

A special case of cuboid where two faces are squares and four faces are rectangular is known as a "Square Cuboid".

A cube is also a 3 dimensional shape with 6 flat faces and all the angles in a cube are also right angles however all the 6 faces of a cube are equal sized squares.

Here is an example showing 6 faces of a cube.

How many edges does a cuboid have?
Edges are where two faces meet.
A cuboid has 12 edges.
Here is an example of a cuboid showing 12 edges

How many corners or vertices does a cuboid have?
Vertex or a corner of a cuboid refers to a point where three edges meet.
A cuboid has 8 vertices or 8 corners.
Here is an example of a cuboid showing 8 corners.
