If you roast in your kitchen, make sure you have a good vent. Roasting coffee will create smoke so you need a way to get that out of your house. You could also roast near a window with a fan on.

Have you ever wondered how you can get the best tasting coffee possible without spending a ton of money? The answer cannot be found in the coffee isle or your grocery store. The answer is in roasting your own coffee at home. It is easier than you think, and you probably have all the tools to do it!

All you need is a stovetop popcorn popper, a stove (kitchen or camp), and the coffee beans. Simple heat up the popcorn popper to around 400 degrees and drop the coffee in! Continually crank the handle of the popper! Once you are past first crack you can take the coffee off for a delicious light roast, or you can keep roasting till you get to a medium or dark roast. Be careful though, once you reach second crack you could easily burn the coffee!
