Fulkopi Chop is a popular Bengali snack made from cauliflower (fulkopi) mixed with mashed potatoes and spices, formed into patties, coated in breadcrumbs, and deep-fried. Originating from Bengal, this crispy treat is enjoyed during tea time or as an appetizer, especially in winter when cauliflower is in season. Fulkopi Chop reflects Bengali culinary creativity, using simple, locally available ingredients to create flavorful and satisfying snacks that are a staple in street food culture.


Ingredients:
• Cauliflower - 250 g
• Salt - To taste
• Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp

• Gram Flour - 2 Cup
• Rice Flour - 1/2 Cup
• Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp
• Salt - To taste
• Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
• Coriander Leaves
• Ginger Paste - 1 Tsp
• Garlic Paste - 1 Tsp

• Oil - for frying


Instructions:

Take a pan, add water, and boil the cauliflower with salt and turmeric powder.
Separate the boiled cauliflower from the water and set them aside.
Take a bowl and add gram flour, rice flour, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, coriander leaves, ginger paste, and garlic paste. Mix everything well.
Gradually add water and make a thick paste for coating.
Add the boiled cauliflower and mix well with the paste mixture.
Take a pan and heat oil over high flame.
Put the cauliflower into the oil and fry it until it turns golden brown.
Remove it from the heat and enjoy fulkopi chop with your family.
