A USB-C PD (Power Delivery) trigger is a device that exploits the USB-C PD protocols to negotiate the level of voltage you want. It can turn a USB-C power supply into a variable universal power supply for almost any electronic device.

When a USB PD charger connects to a device, it performs a “handshake” asking the device how much power it needs. USB PD supports several voltage levels at 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 20V.
