Here's one of Louisville remaining Thunderbolts. This one is located at the Pleasure Ridge Fire Department next to the busy Dixie Highway and more, quiet Kerrick Lane. While struggling to find a decent recording point, I later decided to head up to the fire station, directly under the siren itself. It appears to be on chopper level 3, which gave it a nice, potent, and unique sound compared to some of the other 'bolts in the system.

Several minutes before this test, I heard some Whelens do 'whoop' in the background, later followed by an alert tone. From the direction it was coming from, it appears as though it's a "Rubbertown" siren from the plants in that part of the city. As you'd expect, they are privately owned and operated. They are not included on Metrosafe's official map nor are they connected to the main system. After the test, Rubbertown's sirens wound up in 'hi-lo' which you can faintly hear in this video. Anyways, this Thunderbolt sounded powerful and hopefully will continue to serve the area for years to come.

Enjoy, and as always comment, like, and subscribe for more. Thanks!
