CALL OF DUTY PLAYERS: NOT EVEN GAMERS (Escapist News Now)

Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin spoke to Official Xbox Magazine about the reception of the Call of Duty series. He discussed how COD players don't represent the general gaming population, and thus he doesn't believe the next-gen launch will affect sales of the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts.

He also went on to say, "It's kind of a weird, ironic thing...they aren't hardcore gamers, or even gamers, but they Call of Duty every night." Because of this, Rubin thinks that those players habits won't change just because Xbox One and PS4 are launching.

Infinity Ward and Activision are so confident in fact, that they think they can beat Rockstars records they recently earned with Grand Theft Auto 5.
