Beating PKMN Trainer Red with all level 1 Pokemon

I took a video of me beating Pokemon Trainer Red atop Mt. Silver in Pokemon Soul Silver on my Nintendo DS with my team that is composed of entirely level one Pokemon. I've seen some similar videos, but they all use obviously hacked Pokemon and strategies that are not actually possible, so I wanted to show my battle, which is 100% legit, on my own personal copy.

The strategy is simple. Red's Pokemon will move first and do an attack that otherwise would knock out my Pokemon, but they will hang on with 1 HP from the Focus Sash. Then, I use Endeavor so the opponent also gets down to 1 HP. The hail damage at the end of the turn then faints us both. On the last turn of the match, Swinub is an ice-type so he does not take hail damage, meaning he survives but the opponent does not. Red's Lapras also doesn't take hail damage, so I used Koffing who attacks first with the Quick Claw and uses Destiny Bond. Then Lapras knocks him out, so the Lapras must faint too.

I was able to get to the top of Mt. Silver because of a couple of key strategies. Rattata's Run Away allowed me to get away from any wild battle that would otherwise not allow me to escape and faint my entire team. Mankey's Rock Climb is the only HM needed to get to Red.
