This video collaboration from May 2020 is a testament to the creativity and resilience that emerged during the pandemic.

The song downloaded itself one morning when I woke up with a vivid sensation of being embraced by my beloved daughter, who had died nine months earlier. As I became more awake, I realized it was my arms, not hers, around my ribcage. As I felt the grief welling up I heard a whisper that said: "You can always wrap yourself in love." By the time I got dressed for the day, it was a song.

Pianist extraordinaire Wayne Wilentz created the instrumental tracks based on what I shared in a phone call. Michael Holmes (Music Director at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Silver Spring - UUCSS) created the gospel harmonies that I heard in my head. Singers from UUCSS recorded their parts without having heard the full song. All of this happened within one week.

The song has been shared widely and is gaining traction in UU circles and beyond. Please feel free to share it with others.
