For the 2nd night in a row, and the second game in a row versus DeMatha, St John's got off to an early start that would set the tone for the rest of the game. DeMatha would strike back and take a few brief leads but the Cadets were in control for the majority of the game. Anthony Cowan Jr. led all scorers with 21 and the Cadets put four in double figures. It was St. John's first WCAC chip since 2000.
