During the public comment portion of the 11/26/2024 session of the Suffolk County Legislature, a county resident was denied the chance to talk about racism against immigrant communities that exists in one of the most segregated regions of the country (Long Island). The resident was cut off by Presiding Officer Kevin McCaffrey (R-14th LD), surrounded by deputies and escorted out.
