SONY PSX DESR SOFTMOD GUIDE! Region Free + Laser Bypass + English Conversion

Today We’ll be taking a look at the official Sony PSX Desr released in japan.
This thing is the first Sony console to run XMB and is essentially a Ps2 / TiVo hybrid.
With a few simple softmods we can accomplish the following
Allow the console to read Region Free Ps2 discs
Bypass the broken burner laser and be able to boot discs. If your console isn’t reading discs try this! The burner lasers are known for giving out, if it’s dead it won’t move to the 400c which is responsible for playing Ps2 / Ps1 discs. Freemcboot automatically bypasses the burner laser.
Convert the XMB os to English with some custom patched files.
