A monsoon storm blanketed the Valley starting Friday morning and continued into the afternoon. Several parks, streets and highways flooded due to the fast-moving rain.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Phoenix said temps cooled off significantly.

"From the high-resolution Phoenix ASOS at 1:38 PM MST the temperature dropped to 67°F. This is the first time at Sky Harbor that the temperature was below 70°F since June 2nd, 2025," NWS said.
