Look at news opens from Portland, Oregon's Fox affiliate as recorded this past Thursday, April 1st (with one from January 2nd before they modified their tease graphics for good measure). KPTV is owned by Meredith Corp. It also serves the Vancouver, Washington and Salem, Oregon areas as well.

I held off doing this station as long as I could, because I'll be honest, it really disinterested me. I tried multiple times over the past five months to get proper opens from this station but after several attempts it appears that they have settled on using cold opens almost exclusively. Their first couple of days, they did use a proper 10 O'Clock News open, but in an attempt to create space on my hard drive, I deleted it, thinking they'd just use it again another day. I'm now mad at myself because it hasn't been used ever since. Out of all of the Meredith stations, this one is my least favorite. Which is a shame, because it had such a rich history under previous owners United, who was one of my favorite, gone-too-soon chains. It also didn't help that this was the only station I was unable to pick up in any form when I was visiting Portland in 2019 (it took some creativity to pull in KGW but even that was possible).

The good news is that, with this upload, I am officially done uploading Meredith stations, and their new graphical look has been extensively documented for you here and on The ID Junkie channel (if it wasn't for him needing these for his compilations, I would've passed on this station).

Music featured is High Velocity V.3 while the voiceover is Mark Peeples.

Anchors featured include Kimberly Maus, Shauna Parsons, weather anchor Andy Carson, Joe Vithayathil, Wayne Garcia, Nora Hart, Pete Ferryman, Bonnie Silkman, Camila Orti, chief meteorologist Mark Nelsen, and meteorologist Anne Campolongo.

All were recorded Thursday, April 1, 2021, with the original style 10pm open recorded Saturday, January 2, 2021.

2:42 - 4pm close/5pm anchor toss
2:57 - The Five O'Clock News tease/cold open
4:28 - 5pm close
4:48 - The Six O'Clock News tease/cold open ("30 Seconds to Six")
6:05 - The Ten O'Clock News tease/cold open (old style tease)
6:56 - The Ten O'Clock News tease/cold open (current style tease)
8:09 - 10pm tease and bump-out to break
8:56 - Breaking News open
9:50 - 11pm tease and bump-out to break (generic)

There wasn't an 11pm open, not even a cold one all the times I recorded. They usually treat the 90-minute 10-11.30 block as one full show on-air.

The noon and More Good Day Oregon opens have been uploaded by me previously. I was unable to get anything from KPDX, their "Fox 12 Plus" companion channel that airs KPTV-produced newscasts nightly at 8 and 9pm opens. However, another YouTuber by the name of TWCJim has already uploaded the 9pm at least, and you can watch it on his channel.
