The Everyday 100 Mile,

This whole process has evolved into so much more than I originally intended. I just wanted to document what I thought was a pretty audacious physical challenge and have something I could always look back on with my wife & kids. Instead it evolved into a space where for the first time I publicly shared the loss of my son Dallas 4 years ago and how that has transformed my life forever. Nothing can prepare you for something like that, so when my race got cancelled, I didn’t see any other option but to design my own course and run the 100 mile solo.

So that’s what we did…

We created our own course, set up aid stations, enlisted a support crew & pacers and embarked on a nearly 26hr adventure on the trails of Brisbane. My home.

This project also spawned a relationship with charity "Precious Wings", an organisation that creates memory boxes for grieving families. They become a physical representation of the child you've lost. A place where you can feel a bit closer to them. If you enjoyed this piece, please consider donating through the link below.
