Driving an Acura Integra: POV Drive

Описание к видео Driving an Acura Integra: POV Drive

Hey guys
so before you guys start hating on me or start hating on the car, please don't, I'll explain why. I've come somewhat of a long way now and I've driven a few types of cars. My mustang, which is an american classic, a volkswagen golf which is german engineering, both of which were stick shift so I've always wanted to drive a Japanese car that was obviously, stick shift. So my good friend Alex was kind enough to let me take his car for a ride. As you guys know, when I'm driving, I usually can't talk at the same time and since I wanted to get a feel for how the car drove, I was completely focused on acceleration, shifting, as well as how the car handled so I couldn't quite answer his questions on how to rev match or how to do heel toe as you heard in the video. I've never driven with a racing steering wheel before so that was sort of an issue for me until I got to the first traffic light which was at one of the entrances of the school. Also, yes, I do know how to drive, this isn't my car so I didn't want to go all out and I do know how to downshift as I was able to downshift from fifth down to third but just couldn't rev match smoothly from third to second. This was a last minute decision as I did have my other cameras with me at the time but didn't have the time to set it up as we were didn't have all day so I chose to go with the pov drive to maximize my experience on video. Anyways, now that I got that out of the way, I honestly had an amazing experience driving his integra. The car doesn't have much power to start with, but the acceleration in each gear along with the sound of the exhaust made the drive very pleasant. I wanted to redline but I knew beforehand that redlining in any gear would have caused me to be way over the speed limit which I definitely didn't to do, in case there were any cops around. I do admit though, at the very end, it was kind of funny to see my friend's reaction from me almost rear ending the car in front but looking at it from a more mature perspective, I should have waited until they actually started going instead of inching forward too quickly at the beginning so I'll take the blame for that. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy and I will be bringing you more videos very soon. Please use earphones as the sound quality from a GoPro Hero 1 isn't all that great for those of you who don't know.

Oh and just to avoid copyright infringement, I don't own any of the songs that were heard playing in this video. All the credit goes to the artists.
