Welcome to my latest travel vlog from the historic city of Rajgir, Bihar! In this video, I take you to the top of the Ratnagiri Hills to visit the magnificent Vishwa Shanti Stupa (World Peace Pagoda).

Built in 1969 by the Japanese Buddhist monk Nichidatsu Fujii, this gleaming white marble stupa is a symbol of universal peace and non-violence. Join me as I explore its history, the stunning architecture, and the thrilling ropeway ride that takes you there!

The Ropeway Adventure: Experience the thrill of India's oldest single-person chairlift ropeway (and the new cabin option!) that offers breathtaking aerial views of the Pant Wildlife Sanctuary.

The Architecture: A close-up look at the 120-ft tall white dome and the four golden statues of Lord Buddha representing his Birth, Enlightenment, Preaching, and Mahaparinirvana.

Gridhakuta (Vulture's Peak): A quick stop at the sacred site where Lord Buddha delivered the Lotus Sutra.

ℹ️ VISITOR INFORMATION (2025 UPDATES)

Location: Vishwa Shanti Stupa, Ratnagiri Hill, Rajgir, Bihar.

Timings: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Ropeway breaks for lunch approx. 1 PM - 2 PM).

Ropeway Ticket Price:

Chairlift (Single Seater): Approx. ₹100 - ₹120 (Round Trip)

Cabin (Group): Prices may vary, approx. ₹250+ for foreigners/premium.

Trek: You can also hike up the stairs (approx. 30-45 mins) if you prefer trekking over the ropeway.

🚗 HOW TO REACH RAJGIR:

By Train: The nearest station is Rajgir Railway Station (RGD). It is well connected to Patna and Delhi.

By Air: The nearest airport is Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport, Patna (approx. 100 km away).

By Road: Regular buses and taxis are available from Patna, Gaya, and Nalanda.
