Time to go Dynamite....on a ship! Okay, cool!

Dynamite Cop came out in the arcades in 1998 but received a Dreamcast port in the following year! Dynamite Cop is the sequel of Die Hard Arcade and pretty much the same game. However, instead of being set in a skyscraper...it's on a cruise liner! The enemy for 'Die Hard Arcade', Wolf Hongo returns but he has a group of "modern day pirates" that hijacks the cruise liner.
Now, it's in the hands of three agents, tasked with saving the president's daughter. Bruno Delinger returns alongside two new characters, Jean Ivy and Eddie Brown, each with slightly different movesets to Bruno. Cindy Holiday does not but can be unlocked through the 'Detonator Pack DLC' and that was ahead of it's time along with being free....I can tell you!

One significant change in Dynamite Cop is the eight direction so you can face and attack any enemy. Although, being less realistic than Die Hard Arcade, it does have better graphics and sound. Also and a fun fact, you gain extra credits on the Dreamcast version through the 1980 arcade game Tranquillizer Gun.....make use of that and that's friendly advice!

Personal Thoughts: Back in 1998 when I first saw this, I didn't expect a sequel to Die Hard Arcade but it was there. The directional change made it better especially when dealing with enemies and boss characters! As for the Dreamcast version, it was a better upgrade (as mentioned before) and I should play it in the house without wasting money! The DLC part to unlock Bruno and Cindy from 'Die Hard Arcade' was a bit frustrating but worth it and again, it was for free...no paywall included! Overall, Dynamite Cop is a good title for fans and beat 'em ups. If you haven't played it, give it a go....just make sure you're quick when it comes to the Quick Time Events!

Dynamite Cop was played on Demul, recorded through Nvidia GeForce Experience and re-encoded through Wondershare UniConverter.
