Never Gonna Give You Up | Instrumental Recreation

I originally made this a year ago in FL Studio but never uploaded it because of the poor sound, yesterday I went back in and edited it along with re-mixing it and I was able to get this out of it. It's based mostly on the original song's length but the intro is extended to match the instrumental upload you find on the official Rick Astley channel.

The Fairlight samples (strings, horns, guitars) come from a Kontakt recreation of the Fairlight but it goes silent and requires you to buy the full thing after 5 minutes so it's recorded samples of Kontakt samples of Fairlight samples

The kick is a boosted version of the standard LinnDrum kick but the snare is a layer of the Linn 9000 snare and TR-707 clap, the iconic tom sample is taken from a place I can't recall but when I looked up sources it told me it's from a Roland Alpha Juno. Hihats, cabasa and rimshots are also from a LinnDrum but the congas and bongas are a mix between the Linn and Roland drum machines.

The bass pluck sound was a sample from the original track since I can't recreate it with an FM simulator in FL studio but the electric piano and resonance pad layered with it are both from dexed.

In the official instrumental there's a quiet arpeggiated sequence that happens after the main drums come in that I wasn't able to recreate because there were too many other sounds with it to properly distinguish it
