This 8 Hour Luxury Train Ride Cost Us $330 | Was The Glacier Express Worth It?

We rode the Glacier Express First Class from Zermatt to St. Moritz, Switzerland. The Glacier Express takes 8 hours and is the most scenic train in the world. Our trip was in February when the snow covered the ground, especially in Andermatt. Highlights of the trip include the Landwasser Viaduct, the Oberlap Pass, Andermatt, St. Moritz and Chur. We loved riding the Glacier Express. Switzerland is one of the best places to ride a train.

This is one of the best train routes in the world and the most scenic train we've been on.

We used the 1st Class Swiss Travel Pass to get our tickets.

Glacier Express 1st class tickets require a ticket and a seat reservation.

Our first class seats had large picture windows and table service for lunch.
