Canapes or Hors d'oeuvres are appetizers usually served as a single bite.
Canapes consists of 4 main parts.
1. A base usually a small piece of bread, pastry or crackers.
2. A flavorful spread such as butter, flavored cream cheese or mayonnaise.
It also serves as a sort of glue, so that the toppings are
less likely to slide off the base.
3. A topping of meat, seafood, vegetable, fruit, nuts etc.,
4. A garnish, usually something small, like tiny minced
onions, herbs or caviar.

Canapes are done so artistically and every single bite will give different textures and are so flavorful. They are uniformly laid on platters and presented on the table.

Preparation Time : 30 mins
4 types of Canapes:
1. Cucumber Cream Cheese Canape:
Cream Cheese - 3 tbsp
Oregano - 1/4 tsp
Parsley - 1 tsp
Freshly Ground Pepper - 1 tsp
Cucumber - 1
Monaco/Ritz Biscuits - 1 packet
Mint Leaves for garnishing

2. Chaat Canape:
Boiled Potato - 2
Cream Cheese - 2 tbsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Chaat Masala - 1/2 tsp
Monaco/Ritz Biscuits - 1 packet
Mint Chutney - 5 tbsp
Sev/Bhujia - 1/4 cup
Boondi - 1/4 cup
Cherry Tomatoes a few

3. Fruit Canape:
Orange - 1
Grapes - 10
Butter cream or whipped cream with sugar - 1/2 cup
Monaco/Ritz Crackers - 1 packet
Mint Leaves for garnishing

Cherry Tomato a few
Cheese cubes - 5 to 6
Monaco/Ritz Crackers - 1 packet
Cream Cheese - 1 to 2 tbsp
Mint Leaves for garnishing
