During his pilgrimage to Mecca, Jami yearned to visit Madinah, the sacred city of the Prophet. However, the caravan leader, disapproving of Jami's spiritual inclinations, refused to permit him to accompany the group to Madina.

Undeterred, Jami decided to travel alone through the desert. To disguise himself, he wore a sheepskin and continued his journey. However, he was discovered again and imprisoned by the caravan leader's men, who were determined to prevent him from reaching Madinah.

While in captivity, Jami wrote this beautiful poem, Naseema Janib e Bat’ha guzar kun, in praise of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and expressing his longing to visit the Prophet's city. The poem is considered one of Jami's masterpieces and showcases his literary skill and spiritual devotion.

Eventually, Jami was released, and he continued his journey to Madinah, where he spent several days in spiritual contemplation and visiting the Prophet's shrine.

This incident highlights Jami's determination, spiritual passion, and literary genius, which have inspired countless devotees and scholars throughout history.
