MEET MEREDITH Meredith Flores was born in the Philippines, grew up in San Diego, and then moved to Los Angeles where she graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in World Arts & Cultures with an emphasis in Dance and a Minor in Education. Prior to entering college, Meredith attended the San Diego School of Creative & Performing Arts where she studied dance, music, and theater. With the academy, she appeared in numerous musicals including Dream Girls, The Wiz, Once on This Island, Sweet Charity, and also played the roll of "Molly" in Annie at the age of 9. Meredith Flores was a soloist in The San Diego Children's Dance Theater, which represented the United States at the Dance & Child International Dance Conference held in Sydney, Australia. In 2006, Meredith spent six months in the Philippines conducting master classes for young professional dancers and performed in numerous televised variety shows. She also performed in the Taurus World Stunt Awards, televised on E!, a project in which she was able to work with the choreographer of Cirque Du Soleil. Meredith has always held a passion for choreography and a desire to conceptualize artistic work that reflected her experiences, vision, and voice. Using dance as her forum of expression, she founded the XPOSE Dance Theater Company in 2005. Under her artistic direction, XPOSE has appeared in numerous special events ranging from fashion shows to an opera and was also chosen to perform for the US troops on military bases in Qatar and Afghanistan in 2007 and 2009. MEET PAOLO Paolo Alcedo was born and raised in the central Philippines. He trained under Douglas Nierras of the Powerdance Company with whom he won the 10th Saitama Worldwide Modern Dance Competition in Saitama, Japan. He moved to Los Angeles in 2002 and was honored with an EDGE scholarship (2002-2003). Paulo has danced in numerous dance companies in Los Angeles including Hysterica Dance Company, (Kitty McNamme/Ryan Heffington), Commonality Dance Company (Adam Parson), Collage Dance Theatre (Heidi Duckler), Strange Company (Hassan Christopher), Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company (Kate Hutter), and Rosanna Gamson Worldwide. He performed in "Mass", with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra in the 2004 Hollywood Bowl season. Paulo is Co-Artistic director with Meredith Flores for the XPOSE Theatre Dance Company and is also very active in the Filipino Community, performing and teaching dance. Paulo was chosen to be a part of the movie INDIANA JONES produced by Steven Spielberg and toured with the first Filipino-American Musical opera, Karim at Jasmin where he was the director/choreographer.
