This is an outsider jungle/footwork/breakcore album with atmospheric, nostalgic two-step loops and scattered drum breaks throughout. But this is more than a beat tape or an album - this is my creation, a testament to the music and things I like, to the artists that came before, to artists that may and will come after, to my friends, my family, the people that care about me and I care about, and quite importantly, myself. This album is me.

I've spent a long part of my life lurking as a music fanatic, never putting myself in the category of those I care to listen to, always in the backseat of the world around me, despite making the very same music. This album is called [define self]. In putting this album out, I'm setting to do that in a form of self-expression I've yet to do all this time. It always felt like a risk to do so. But that's the thing - self-expression, while risky, is an essential part to the human experience. Anything less than that, the doubt we put on ourselves, only serves to harm both our ideal and real selves.

To those reading and listening, not only do I hope that you enjoy the music, but I hope you can experience the joy and wonder of the world around you through the same lens of self-expression. Go create. Make something that you appreciate. Push that feeling out into the world. And most importantly, never stop trying to be yourself.
