UP College of Medicine (UPCM) Henry Sy Sr. Medical Sciences Building Soft Opening and Tour June 2022

Last July 15, 2022, we attended the soft opening of the newly-constructed Henry Sy Sr. Medical Sciences Building at the UP College of Medicine! This project has been a vision of Former Dean Mejia and her Dean’s Management Team since 2015. Despite her retirement in 2018, Dean Mejia has been working on the project with her partner, Dr. Rody Sy.

The Henry Sy Foundation donated P300 million to the UP Medical Alumni Foundation Inc. (UPMAFI) that would support the cost of constructing an 11-story Medical Sciences Building. Along with the foundation, donations from UPCM alumni, organizations, and other supporters have paved way to its construction.

This video will be a glimpse of some of the floors in the new building as well as clips from the program last Friday! Currently, the 6th floor and the upper four floors are still under construction so we will only be able to show you some of the floors as follows —
