Cooper Webb Replaces Chance Hymas for MXDN on 250F

A bomb was dropped on Wednesday when Star Yamaha's Cooper Webb announced he will replace Honda's Chance Hymas on the 250F at the 2024 MX Des Nations.

Webb won 3 titles in the 250cc class (2 250 SX West titles, 1 250 MX title). He is second on the all-time wins list in the 250cc West Supercross series.

Chance Hymas had been dealing with a knee injury for much of 2024 before reaggravating that knee in the first round of the playoffs at Charlotte's ZMAX Raceway last week Saturday. He later announced he was pulling out of SMX and the des Nations to fix that knee.

Webb has been a part of the des Nations team and did well. While he has yet to be part of a winning team, he did show a lot of promise on both the 250F and 450F at the annual event. He was part of the 2nd place Team USA in 2015 and 3rd in 2016.

Do not count out Webb just yet because Team USA can STILL win the des Nations!
